Established and still maintained by veteran Broadway director Terry Schreiber, TSS is one of the most respected acting studios around - both for learning the craft, and for honing skills you already have. I am the Producing Director there, and our productions have talent and production values to rival any you've seen in NYC.

The New York Coalition of Professional Women in the Arts & Media
The name is quite a mouthful, but the mission is simple: bring our member organizations together to help face common problems and fulfill common needs, especially those associated with women. Our member organizations include SSDC, SAG, AFTRA, AEA, Women Make Movies, Dramatists Guild, League of Professional Theatre Women, Writers Guild, Fund for Women Artists, and Women's Media Center. If you are a member of any of these organizations, then you are already a member of the Coalition!

GA Designs
Owned and operated by George Allison, a set designer with the body and soul of an artist - centering all his ideas on what works in support of the story. The result is a superior space that provokes, supports and enhances every production.

New York Innovative Theatre Awards - The NYIT people are doing all they can to make "indie" theatre and the people who make it happen be recognized and rewarded - and evidently, their "all" is a great deal!

This is the best site for information on the "Indie" theater scene in NYC. Run by Martin Denton and Rochelle Denton, it includes interviews, podcasts, blogs, links to other interesting places, and reviews. And not just any review - smart, informative without giving too much away, and honest without being unnecessarily hurtful.

Abingdon Theater Company - a great group of theatre people with two charming playing spaces.

Irish Repertory Theatre - what can I say? I love all things Celtic and these guys do it better than anyone else.

Emerging Artists Theatre - Thought provoking theatre grown from the germ of an idea all the way to production. In a city where everyone has their own theatre company, EAT has been making it work for 14 years!

Algonquin Productions - Having recently purchased a theatre space, this talented group of people is making their theatre dreams a reality.

Thomas Solomon - A magician and an escape artist, Thomas has a large fan base in England and is fast making his mark here at home. Look for him on the History Channel's "No Jail Can Hold Me" where he recreates legendary escapes.
